As part of the Make It In Design live '2021 - Winter School' I was set a trend brief of 'Country Set'.
These briefs are set by Make It In Design in partnership with Porter & Brawn, trend forecasters.
Inspired by traditional English countryside, Tudor Royalty and William Morris I honed in on my hand drawn, illustrative skills to produce the main design of pheasants, red squirrels and ferns. I spent a week plotting and designing the piece. including nine variations of ferns that would complement the creatures. I also wanted to pay homage to traditional screen-printing techniques by ensuring that every colour and layer were separate elements while the pattern was created digitally using Adobe Photoshop.

I wanted to share with you this project as it showcases my hand drawing, art based skills and another variation of being able to work to different briefs.
